Booksellers
These are the sellers that I found interesting enough to download some of their catalogs to keep for reference (in terms of tone & other particulars), but these are by no means the only sellers I referenced.

Alembic Rare Books, now permanently closed, had a number of wonderful catalogs as well as basic rare book resources to help me refresh my memory. I particularly liked "A Hunger of the Mind:" Four Centuries of Women and Science from 2019,
-
Jonathan Kearns Rare Books was another rare bookseller whose catalogs I heavily purused (after having them recommended to me by a bookselling friend); the website currently appears to be nonfunctional, which is a shame, as I find Kearns' catalogs particularly personable.
-
Lux Mentis, Booksellers. I liked this one about the History of Computing. I didn't reference this catalog when writing the story, but Unusual Structures and Designs has some fascinatingly cool shit. They're on Bsky.
-
Michael Laird Rare Books, though alas, it doesn't seem there's any catalogs available online at the moment.

The Veatchs, who specialize in artists' books & book arts.
